Volunteer Ireland works to promote and celebrate volunteering in Ireland through campaigns such as National Volunteering Week and the Volunteer Ireland Awards.  I had volunteered my time with them, and they asked me to meet and photograph one of their Volunteer Ireland Award nominees.    I met Veronica Lucas at the Tallaght hospital where she volunteers her time helping those with chronic illness.  I sat in on one of her sessions, and and was inspired by her passion and energy to help those in the community when they need it the most.
