Thailand & Cambodia

Temple Bangkok

I had been planning our honeymoon to Cambodia & Thailand for a year.   I wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed to capture the beauty of these countries, and so had been working on my wishlist of photography equipment that I would buy and bring on the trip: multiple lenses, tripods, filters, intervelometers etc etc.  But for some reason in the run up to trip I had a complete change of heart.  I didn’t want to be lugging all that equipment around, I wanted to travel as light as possible.  So in the end I brought my Canon 7d and my new Tamron 18-250mm lens.  And I am so glad I did.  I loved not having lots of kit with me, and I managed to get some great shots.  There were maybe 3-4 times over the entire trip when I would have liked to have had a 10-22mm lens, but even then I don’t know if it would have been worth it to carry it around for 2 weeks to get these shots.  In the end I had a fantastic trip, and was delighted with the shots I got with the minimum of equipment.
